(124) Euskal Kostaldean lehorreratutako izurde arruntaren (Delphinus delphis) pneumonia parasitarioaren azterketa histologiko eta molekularra
Laburpena
Lehorreratutako zetazeoen nekropsiak eta horien organoen analisiak populazioen osasun-egoerari buruzko informazio baliotsua ematen dute. Horregatik, azterketa histopatologikoa, heriotzaren kausarekin zerikusia izan dezaketen patologiak definitzeko tresna kritikoa da. Zetazeoek denbora luzez irauten dute bizirik, eta kate-maila trofikoaren goiko aldean daude. Hori dela eta, organismo askok parasitatzen dituzte, aztergai potentzial bihurtuz zetazeoen osasunaren markatzaile gisa. Lan honek Euskal Kostaldean lehorreratutako izurde arrunt baten pneumonia parasitario baten lehen deskribapen histopatologiko osoa ematen du. Necropsy of stranded cetaceans and the analysis of their organs give information about the health status of their populations. For this reason, histopathological examination is a critical tool to define the pathologies that could be related to the cause of death. Cetaceans have long survival times and are at the top of the trophic link, consequently they are often parasitised by a wide range of organisms. Therefore, they become potential objects of study as markers of cetacean’s health. The present work provides the first thorough histopathological description of a parasitic pneumonia in a stranded common dolphin in the Basque Coast.
